From Steak to Rags

He's humbled to a "Mr. Steak" restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri as an assistant manager. His boss gets fired for stealing, Peter gets his job. Two years later, he's training managers twice his age in one of the most successful districts in the country.

A year later, a couple of VP's from the Merry Go Round, one of the 70's hottest high fashion clothing chains, walked into Mr. Steak for dinner. They're blown away by a waitress who asks if they would like to "spin" for the price of their filet on a roulette wheel. The V.P. asks "Who invented this promotion?". "I'll get him", the waitress says. She fetches Peter. They drink shots and interview until Peter has to reopen the restaurant. Two weeks later, Peter is on board and turning an average Merry Go Round clothing store into the second ranked store out of 212 units. One year later he's opening 1 store every 22 days for the company and stripping competitors of their best management. He is asked to start up the companies first formal recruiting department. He hires placement firms to do management search, sees the potential in the infancy of the staffing industry, and the light bulb goes on..... again.
