The Staffing Plunge
The Staffing Plunge
In 1982, he joined the Midwest's largest contingency search group, Professional Career Development in Kansas City, Missouri, led by the late David Crawford, a powerful contributor to the industry. Within 18 months, Peter had become the highest producing recruiter among 150 colleagues. He had an unusual style. He pulled rather than pushed. He listened more to vocal tonality than vocal content. A recruiting call was developed that never discussed a position, only the goals of the candidate. He also built a specialty team of talented candidates that attracted some of the most forward thinking corporations. The core of Peter's methodologies was an investigation into the values of clients and candidates. That demonstrated his genuine interest in their professional goals. This interest held their loyalty long enough for him to work without competition. Peter held the top 2 production rankings among 150 recruiters, for 4 years consecutively. When this system proved to be predictable to recruiters who were not 'naturals' and when the system could be taught to non-seasoned rookies and produced consistent effectiveness...he bottled it. The Morgan consulting Group was formed.
Peter Leffkowitz founded Morgan Consulting Group, Inc. in 1986. The company has serviced a client base of 5,100 staffing firms in the US, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. He conducts 3-5 training events monthly; a mix of
2 day recruiter marathon workshops in major cities and 2-3 day intensive recruiter and
management clinics at his Tall Pony Ranch, outside of Kansas City, Missouri. Peter, together with his staff, is constantly developing new products and tools for recruiters and their management. The Morgan Consulting Group is the world's largest supplier of
training products to the staffing industry.
Now, 13 years later, here's the amazing thing. Every year he adds more to his business but his life gets calmer, more peaceful. He has managed to move his business into his lifestyle. Sometimes we have a tough time finding where one begins and the other ends.
This is what he calls congruence. He lives it.
And we, the internal family members of the Morgan Consulting Group, and
Tall Pony Ranch, are so pleased to share him with you.
