Day 1
It ain't no vacation
WEDNESDAY NIGHT ARRIVALS
Your team is shuttled from Kansas City International to the Northland Embassy Suites. Drinks and dinner at the country club plaza district. Settle into what many consider the finest steak house on the planet.
THURSDAY MORNING
Work begins on the Ranch at sun up. You just might get met at the gate by a horse drawn wagon and a big pot of coffee. You'll drop your gear off at Peter's house and hike down to the training cabin.
Once in the cabin, truth takes over as your skills are tested and stripped layer by layer. Your objectives are confirmed and the route to achieving them are mapped out. Then it begins. Role plays, deal breaker scenarios, cold call recruiting, sourcing from scratch, hour by hour time management recommendations, recruiter activity and production standards are set... the work begins.
Personal accountability is exposed one recruiter at a time until all students know where everyone's "magic and weak spots" are. When a weakness shows, a custom role play is worked and worked until the TEAM says, "you got it, man". High fives. Move on. Two recruiters might recognize conflict between themselves. They're physically sent down a trail steep enough to hold on to each other, they come back different.
The beauty of "cabin training" is no one leaves without having practiced and polished the technique they were sent to learn. There's no escape. When they return to the office their skills have been databased, rehearsed, role played, logic'ed out and installed. It's usable come Monday morning. But all work makes for burnt students...
