Sometimes you just need a break…
…and if that break can be spent with people you trust professionally, to have a good time and sharpen the axe and be tax deductible…do it!
Every fall, a small group of Morgan students join Peter, Cindy and Tall Pony Ranch wrangler, Dennis Hawk, on a really cool trip down into the Ozark Mountains. Typically, they are the same students who rode with Peter at Tall Pony Ranch during a 3 day workshop but the program is certainly open to any student.
Peter has been riding these Ozark Mountains for 25 years. The terrain is amazingly beautiful, a mosaic of full fall colors, and the camaraderie is remembered for a lifetime. It is the Maine of the Midwest. We limit the group to 5 students. You sure don’t need to be an expert equestrian, but you should be comfortable on horseback. The rest we’ll teach you!
We supply the horses and mules, the same ones you may have ridden on Peter’s ranch. Gentle and skilled. Prepare yourself for 3-5 hour rides per day for 2-3 days. We rough it on the trail but we sleep and dine in a beautiful rustic retreat on Lake Taneycomo. We drive to the trailhead daily to feed, saddle and go! Lunches are cooked on the trail and you’ll see a side of Peters’ outdoorsmen skills you just might not have known about. A few nights spent around a campfire with Peter and company can leave you with as much knowledge as any seminar.
Cindy is at the helm of the culinary experience and that means amazing meals at every turn. Simply put, it’s a blast and an adventure you’ll remember, forever. Note: Typically, this event is fully booked by August.
