The guest book at the Tall Pony Ranch reads like the Who’s Who of the Staffing Industry. The greatest compliment is that 4 out of every 10 companies who have gifted their recruiters these three days of secluded training, have actually booked their next years Ranch visit prior to leaving the property. Each group leaves with the feeling that this is their company’s special place. Their retreat. A place to re-energize, to invent, to question, to intellectually stretch and to realize the importance of recruiter teamwork.
It is a place where owners bring their teams to formally announce and begin their commitment to “the next level.” It is a place where individual desk mentality is crushed by a formal team system that overwhelms and out powers isolated “super stars” that carry the team. It is where owners take their staff when they decide their long term financial goals must rely on a consistent system, a consistent methodology, and not just a good hire. Without a system, they own a practice, not a business. A business can be acquired. A practice cannot be walked away from.
This is a real school that achieves measurable results and is accredited toward industry CEU’s. You’ll receive identical care and customization as you would in an In-House Session, but you’ll gain the unforgettable ambiance that creates massive appreciation for the owner. Students concentrate, let go of their inhibitions, find truth, lose the corporate façade – and really learn. The ranch experience, however, is limited to teams of twelve or less.
How it Unfolds:
Prior to the team arriving, objectives, goals and lesson plans are discussed and agreed upon by management and Peter. Workbooks are personalized and customized. Travel is arranged, hotels are booked, if necessary, special diet meals are planned. The moment we pick you up you are enveloped in care.
Your team typically arrives on a Sunday afternoon. That evening they meet Peter and Cindy at an Icebreaker at the Embassy Suites Hotel. The group relaxes, share their personal desk issues, ask Peter questions and generally dissolve any anxiety about expectations.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8AM: Students are picked up and transported to Morgan Consulting Groups’ Tall Pony Ranch. They will settle into a log cabin in the woods, naked of cell phones and watches. They will study, eat, study and eat. Breaks are re-energizing. Short trail hikes, observing horses and an ocassional revealing, team chore.
They will be issued their cell phones at designated times, to practice and polish techniques before returning to their offices. In most cases, they will have developed live interviews or new job order activity to follow up on return to their office. Real candidates, real placement potential.
Their evenings will alternate between homework and fun. They can fish on our lake, trail ride with Peter, drive our cattle, hike our trails or enjoy a margarita while porch rockin’.
As an owner, when you open your training “package”, three days later, you will be very impressed with the gift in which you have invested.
